New and Changed Features

This document contains a summary of the new and changed features for the Catalyst 8540 MSR, Catalyst 8510 MSR, and LightStream 1010 ATM switch routers for Cisco IOS release 12.0(10)W5(18c).

Table 1 lists the new and changed features in the ATM Switch Router Port Adapter and Interface Module Installation Guide:

Feature	Description	Chapter or Section
Inverse Multiplexing over ATM	This feature is available on the Catalyst 8540 MSR, Catalyst 8510 MSR, and LightStream 1010 ATM switch routers.	Chapter 20, "Configuring IMA Port Adapter Interfaces."
ATM Router Modules	The ATM router module is available on the Catalyst 8540 MSR, Catalyst 8510 MSR, and LightStream 1010 ATM switch routers.	Chapter 21, "Configuring ATM Router Module Interfaces."
RFC 1483	This feature allows the transmission of multiple Layer 3 and bridged frames over ATM.	Chapter 21, "Configuring ATM Router Module Interfaces," in the "Configuring RFC 1483" section on page 21-7.
Classical IP over ATM	This feature is available on both the route processor and the ATM router module.	Chapter 21, "Configuring ATM Router Module Interfaces," in the "Configuring Classical IP over ATM in a PVC Environment" section on page 21-10.
