The LightStream 1010 ATM Switch ASP Installation Guide describes procedures for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the LightStream 1010 Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) switch processor (ASP) module for the LightStream 1010 ATM switch. All additions or upgrades to the switch hardware or software image (firmware) that you order from the factory are accompanied by product-specific installation instructions and up-to-date product information.
This document provides information specific to initial installation and configuration of the switch hardware and software. To use this document, you should be familiar with electronic circuitry and wiring practices and preferably have experience as an electronic or electromechanical technician. This document provides brief descriptions and examples of some software configuration and display commands. For comprehensive descriptions and examples of software configuration commands and the procedures for implementing them, refer to the LightStream 1010 ATM Switch Software Configuration Guide and the LightStream 1010 ATM Switch Command Reference publications.
