W Commands

The commands shown in this chapter apply to the Catalyst 8540 MSR, Catalyst 8510 MSR, and LightStream 1010. Where an entire command or certain attributes of a command have values specific to a particular switch, an exception is indicated by the following callouts:

• Catalyst 8540 MSR

• Catalyst 8510 MSR and LightStream 1010

write erase

The erase startup-config command replaces this command. Refer to the description of the erase command for more information on erase startup-config.

write memory

The copy running-config startup-config command replaces this command. Refer to the description of the copy running-config command for more information on copy running-config startup-config.

write network

The copy running-config rcp or copy running-config tftp command replaces this command.
Refer to the description of the copy running-config command for more information on copy running-config rcp or copy running-config tftp.

write terminal

The show running-config command replaces this command. Refer to the description of the
show running-config command for more information.
