O Commands

The commands shown in this chapter apply to the Catalyst 8540 MSR, Catalyst 8510 MSR, and LightStream 1010. Where an entire command or certain attributes of a command have values specific to a particular switch, an exception is indicated by the following callouts:


Note Commands that are identical to those documented in the Cisco IOS software documentation have been removed from this chapter. Refer to Appendix D, "Removed and Changed Commands," of this command reference for a list of removed commands.

online-diags (Catalyst 8540 MSR)

To enable online diagnostics on the primary or secondary route processor, use the online-diags command. To disable, use the no form of this command.

online-diags {primary | secondary}
no online-diags {primary
| secondary}
Syntax Description

primary

Selects the route processor configured as primary.

secondary

Selects the route processor configured as secondary.

Default

Enabled on both primary and secondary route processors.

Usage Guidelines

Enabling the online-diags command runs online diagnostic background tests on the system hardware. Online diagnostics report any hardware failures as soon as they are found. Online diagnostics do use some route processor time.

Example

The following example enables online diagnostics for the primary route processor.

Switch# online-diags primary
  online-diags is enabled on primary route processor.

outgoing-port

To filter ATM signalling call failure based on the outgoing interface rejected call, use the outgoing-port ATM signalling diagnostics configuration command. To return the outgoing port to the default, use the no form of this command.

outgoing-port [atm card/subcard/port]
no outgoing-port
Syntax Description

card/subcard/port

Specifies the card, subcard, and port of the ATM interface. The card number is displayed using the show interface command.The subcard number can be either 0 or 1.

0

ATM signalling diagnostics configuration

Usage Guidelines

The default 0 means the incoming interface is not considered during filtering.

Example

The following example shows the outgoing-port command.

Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# outgoing-port ATM 0/1/1
