This section configures the serial characteristics of the device's 10/100BaseT Ethernet interface(s). This section does not apply to standard 10 Mbps Ethernet interfaces.
configure Ethernet Interface Ethernet slot:port
Ethernet slot:port | For a modular platform, identify the slot:
For the VPN 5001 concentrator, enter only the port number. Ports are numbered starting with 0, so for a module with one port, the port is 0. |
After entering the configure command for the section, enter one or more of the following keywords.
Speed = {10meg | 100meg | Auto} | The Speed keyword provides a way to manually set the speed at which the interface will operate. Normally, the 10/100BaseT interface will autonegotiate the speed with the Ethernet hub or switch. If the autonegotiation is unsuccessful, this keyword can be used to force the setting. The default is Auto. |
Duplex = {Full | Half | Auto} | The Duplex keyword provides a way to manually configure whether the interface will operate in full duplex or half duplex mode. Normally, the 10/100BaseT interface will autonegotiate with the Ethernet hub or switch. If the autonegotiation is unsuccessful, this keyword can be used to force the setting.
|
In the following example, the Ethernet interface will be forced to 100 Mbps and half duplex mode.
[ Ethernet Interface Ethernet 0:0 ] Speed = 100meg Duplex = Half
