This section is used to list the addresses of the primary and secondary domain name servers used by the router for Domain Name Service (DNS) name lookups. DNS allows the device to report DNS names instead of raw IP addresses when using the traceroute command, and also allows the ping command to be optionally issued with a DNS name. A primary name server must be specified in order to use DNS lookup.
configure Domain Name ServerAfter entering the configure command for the section, enter one or more of the following keywords.
PrimaryServer = IP Address | The PrimaryServer keyword specifies the IP address of the primary domain name server. |
SecondaryServer = IP Address | The SecondaryServer keyword specifies the IP address of the secondary domain name server(s). If no response is received from the primary name server, then the secondary servers are used. Up to 2 secondary servers may be added to the configuration. |
[ Domain Name Server ] PrimaryServer = 10.0.0.101 SecondaryServer = 10.0.0.142 SecondaryServer = 10.0.0.130
