The purpose of this guide is to help configure Cisco VPN 5000 products for the most common scenarios using the Cisco VPN 5000 Manager. The Cisco VPN 5000 Manager software supports all Cisco VPN 5000 products, as well as Compatible Systems legacy routers and firewall products.
This guide contains the following chapters:
"Installation and Overview." This chapter describes how to install the Cisco VPN 5000 Manager software, and provides an overview of the Main menus and windows in the workspace.
"IP Routing & Bridging." This chapter describes how to configure IP routing and bridging.
"IPX Routing & Bridging." This chapter describes how to configure IPX routing and bridging.
"AppleTalk Routing & Bridging." This chapter describes how to configure Appletalk routing and bridging.
"DECnet Routing & Bridging." This chapter describes how to configure DECnet routing and bridging.
"VPN Ports and LAN-to-LAN Tunnels." This chapter describes how to configure VPN ports and LAN-to-LAN tunnels for Cisco VPN 5000 products.
"VPN Client Tunnels." This chapter describes how to configure VPN client tunnels for Cisco VPN 5000 products.
"IntraGuard Firewall Configuration." This chapter describes how to configure an IntraGuard Firewall using the Cisco VPN 5000 Manager.
"Bridging." This chapter describes how to configure bridging that is global to the device and not for a particular interface.
"WAN Link Protocols." This chapter describes how to configure Cisco VPN 5000 products for a Wide Area Network (WAN) link.
"TCP/IP Filtering." This chapter describes how to configure IP route filters.
"IPX Filtering." This chapter decribes how to configure IPX route filters.
"AppleTalk Filtering." This chapter describes how to configure Appletalk route filters.
"General Configuration Windows." This chapter describes general configuration that is global to the device and not for a particular interface. Included in this chapter:
"OSPF Configuration." This chapter provides instructions for configuring a network utilizing the OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) Protocol.
"Using Digital Certificates." This chapter describes how to configure a Cisco VPN 5000 product to support the use of digital certificates for client and server authentication.
Cisco Connection Online (CCO) is Cisco Systems' primary, real-time support channel. Maintenance customers and partners can self-register on CCO to obtain additional information and services.
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, CCO provides a wealth of standard and value-added services to Cisco's customers and business partners. CCO services include product information, product documentation, software updates, release notes, technical tips, the Bug Navigator, configuration notes, brochures, descriptions of service offerings, and download access to public and authorized files.
CCO serves a wide variety of users through two interfaces that are updated and enhanced simultaneously: a character-based version and a multimedia version that resides on the World Wide Web (WWW). The character-based CCO supports Zmodem, Kermit, Xmodem, FTP, and Internet e-mail, and it is excellent for quick access to information over lower bandwidths. The WWW version of CCO provides richly formatted documents with photographs, figures, graphics, and video, as well as hyperlinks to related information.
