B.2 Nature of Address

Nature of address (NOA) refers to the source of a call (its address). The NOA identifies whether a call came from an Internet Service Provider, for example.

If the Result Type (see Table B-1) is 15 or 16 is configured, the A-number or B-number in question will have its NOA modified to the new value. The NOA values for A-number and B-number result types are in accordance with specifications for protocol Q761. (See Table B-2.)
