This chapter describes the procedure to configure access lines.
From the Connect Access Lines tab you can connect and disconnect access and access server lines. When you right-click with the cursor anywhere in the tab, a popup menu appears with several options. Any display options you have selected appear with a checkmark. (See Figure 10-1.)

The options available are determined by the panel your cursor is in. For example, in Figure 10-1, the Disconnect option is not available.
The three options below the line are display options. The checkmarks show that all three display options are in effect. To turn display options on and off, place your cursor on the option and click on it. The checkmark will appear or disappear.
When you connect access lines, you must specify a 4-character Span ID for each line. Span IDs must be the hexadecimal equivalent of the nsfas_int set in IOS on the access server. The range for nfas_int is 0 to 127 (decimal).
To find the Span ID, in IOS go to Channel Controllers and look under nfas ID for the nfas_init.
Span IDs identify bearer trunks on the IP network. PRI links that do not explicitly use spans and SS7-based protocols are defined with a Span ID of ffff. (See Figure 10-2.)

After you connect your access lines, you can configure your TransPath component.
