4.1 Lower Position Wire Wrap Matrix Assignment

The lower position wire wrap Patch Panel Wiring List matrix allows inbound and outbound E1 facilities to be given appearances at specified patch positions. The following assignments are to be made for the E1s used by TransPath.

4.2 Upper Position Wire Wrap Matrix Interconnections

The upper position wire wrap matrix allows 'normal through' interconnections to be made for specified patch positions. The following table describes the wiring necessary to support E1s and associated trace indicator LEDs.

Note The upper and lower wire wrap matrices are not split consistently A/B and IN/OUT. Please refer to the diagram below to correctly identify terminal location.

For example, a single "A" side E1 facility has one pair wired to the lower left hand terminals while the other pair is wired to the lower right hand terminals, whilst "normal through" wiring is always upper left to upper right.
