This section describes document conventions and additional documentation available.

Cisco documentation and additional literature are available in a CD-ROM package, which ships with your product. The Documentation CD-ROM, a member of the Cisco Connection Family, is updated monthly. Therefore, it might be more current than printed documentation. To order additional copies of the Documentation CD-ROM, contact your local sales representative or call customer service. Document Objectives

The Cisco Access Manager Software Installation and Configuration Guide explains how to install and configure Cisco AccessPath systems and System Controllers using the Cisco Access Manager (CAM) graphical user interface.

This publication contains software installation and configuration instructions to help you manage your Cisco AccessPath system and System Controller. it is designed for system administrators who are responsible for managing systems and system performance.

Convention Description

Commands and keywords.

italicized text

Variables for which you supply a value; titles of books or publications.

Optional keywords or arguments; also used to represent default responses to system prompts.

A choice of required keywords, separated by vertical bars. Select one.

screen font

Information displayed on the screen.

boldface screen font

Information you must enter.

Non-printing characters, such as passwords; also used to represent required user input.

Note

Means reader take note. Notes contain helpful suggestions or references to information and material.

TimeSaver This symbol means the described action saves time. You can save time by performing the action described in the paragraph.

Caution This symbol means reader be careful. In this situation, you might do something that could result in equipment damage or loss of data.
