Cisco Netsys Performance Service Manager

Cisco Netsys Performance Service Manager

Product Overview

Cisco Netsys Performance Service Manager builds on the capabilities of the Netsys Connectivity Service Manager allowing you to define, monitor, and optimize performance service levels, use existing network resources most efficiently, diagnose and solve network performance problems, tune existing networks, and plan network changes. Cisco Netsys Performance Service Manager is the only Cisco-certified performance modeling application on the market. By providing accurate modeling of routing and flow transport over Cisco devices, you can analyze interactions between traffic flows, topologies, routing parameters, router configurations, and Cisco IOSTM software features.

Working interactively with the Performance Service Manager, you can ensure that service-level policies are met, performance problems are solved, and WAN costs are reduced through resource optimization. This helps you meet future equipment and protocol migration plans and application performance requirements. The Performance Service Manager gives you a "snapshot" of your current network by collecting actual configuration data and quickly generating multiprotocol topology, performance, and traffic baselines. This enables you to make informed, effective decisions for improving overall performance and optimizing traffic loads.

The Performance Service Manager works in conjunction with the Connectivity Service Manager to quickly generate a graphical, multiprotocol topology baseline from your actual router configurations. Router configuration parameters define how routing protocols interact and are essential to accurately model traffic flows. Cisco Netsys Performance Service Manager captures logical connectivity for all protocols without intrusive, uncontrolled "discovery" mechanisms. User-definable overlays apply color to relevant performance data allowing you to visually navigate through the topology to identify problem areas and find the source of the problem.
