Cisco`s Multichannel E1 cards offer high density, cost effective, and flexible connection to E1 links. More cost effective than serial interfaces with external G.703 converters, the Multichannel E1 cards have up to eight ports with built in G.703/G.704 interfaces, and flexible configuration that allows any port to be configured for E1, fractional E1, channelized E1 and ISDN PRI services. Integrated E1 management and bit error rate testing simplify WAN administration.
The Multichannel E1 cards support native 120ohm balanced G.703 interfaces. 75 ohm G.703 environments are easily supported by use of simple adapter cable (CAB-ADPT-75-120).
Key Features:
Up to eight independent E1 ports per card
Channelized E1, fractional E1, full rate E1, and ISDN PRI supported
Internal or network clocking selectable on each port
Line and payload loopback capabilities:
Full bit error rate testing capabilities on any E1
Alarm detection: alarm indication
Support for Frame Relay, Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP), HDLC, SMDS DXI, ISDN PRI, X.25 connections
