Product Overview

The Cisco IAD 1101 is an integrated access device designed for customer premise (CP) applications. This solution provides integrated voice and data services from a scalable, modular, compact platform. The Cisco IAD 1101 simultaneously manages circuit-switched and packet-switched voice and data traffic from a single network element. This standards-based, low-cost solution provides investment protection for service providers that want to deliver time division multiplexed (TDM-based) telephony and Frame Relay services.

1. When an FXS/16 line interface module is installed in the Cisco IAD 1101"s general-purpose expansion slot, only 8 of the 16 FXS ports are functional.

2. The Cisco IAD 1101 interoperates with Cisco 6700 Series network elements loaded with Main Control Card (MCC) software Release 1.3.xx or later. The Cisco IAD 1101 does not interoperate with Cisco 6700 Series products loaded with MCC software releases before Release 1.3. EMS Release 1.4.xx is required for provisioning and maintenance of the Cisco IAD 1101. The desired software release version must be specified when placing an order.
