The HSSI port adapters provide up to two EIA/TIA 612/613, high-speed serial interfaces. HSSI provides connectivity to external service units to access services at NxT1, NxE1, T3 (45 Mbps), E3 (34 Mbps), and Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) STS-1 (51.82 Mbps) rates.
