Cisco Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) Manager is a highly scalable, multiprotocol management software package designed specifically for configuring networks of Cisco IOS software-based Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) Access Concentrators. It provides New World service management and process automation to simplify the management of even the most complex networks. Cisco DSL Manager (CDM) allows you to easily provision connections, detect faults, configure devices, and track network statistics. The Cisco Element Management Framework (EMF), on which the Cisco DSL Manager is based, is focused on delivering a consistent element management solution across Cisco`s Service Provider line of business, with a track to standards-based interfaces to customer Operations Support Systems. Cisco DSL Manager enables an operator to: Manually "pre-provision" Cisco 6260s in the management system before actual installation and advise the system to automatically detect its presence and begin management upon physical installation and configuration Utilize the auto-discovery feature to identify new Cisco 6260s and their detailed hardware configuration upon physical installation Utilize maps that have been automatically constructed by the management system to show the exact representation of Cisco 6260 components Configure the Cisco 6260 using service-oriented terms such as 'subscribers`, eliminating the need to understand the underlying network fabric Provision connections through the Cisco 6260, via a Service/Subscriber-oriented user-interface, without the technical knowledge of the numerous sequences of Cisco IOS software commands and SNMP MIB variables that underlie the configuration of each connection Define ADSL Line MIB-based profiles that may be used to provision services for multiple subscribers, reducing the amount of repetitive configuration that must be performed View SNMP traps, generated by the Cisco 6260, as color-coded icons on network maps Access FCAPS functionality, supported by the device via SNMP and Cisco IOS software, through user-friendly GUIs that can be operated by users without SNMP or Cisco IOS software expertise Perform "mass" concurrent operations to any number of Cisco 6260s, simplifying management of a large deployment of multiple Cisco 6260s Access to Cisco MIBs and element management functionality provided with the Cisco 6260 (such as the ADSL Line MIB) via simple tabbed dialog boxes within the Cisco DSL Manager application Analyze historical information provided via the user-friendly Cisco EMF Event Browser or Performance Manager Cisco DSL Manager

Entry Service Pack
Small Service Pack
Medium Service Pack
Large Service Pack
Site License
Separate part numbers are also offered to upgrade from one size service pack to the next. Finally, upgrades from previous releases to the current release are offered, also based on the five-tier model. Service and Support contracts are available, both with and without upgrades. The Service and Support with Upgrades contract is highly recommended.
Documentation is included in electronic format on the CD-ROM with the software. Hard copy manuals are available separately.
