Channelized OC-12 Line Card

Channelized OC-12 Line Card

The CHOC-12 line card utilizes the multiplexing features usually found in SONET transmission equipment. The new line card segments the single OC-12 port into 12 digital signal level three (DS3) channels on a single port and also supports Frame Relay encapsulation of IP packets thus reducing the cost and complexity of IP and Frame Relay DS3 (45 Mbps) and OC-3 (155 Mbps) connections.
