The ATM Circuit Emulation Services (CES) port adapters are ATM access concentrators on a card and provide aggregation of packet data and circuit traffic onto a single ATM WAN link. CES capabilities allow circuit traffic from PBXs and video codecs to be transported transparently over an ATM network. These port adapters are dual-wide port adapters with four T1 or four E1 CES interfaces, and a single OC-3 single-mode intermediate reach or a T3 or E3 standards-based ATM interface.
Key Features:
Structured (Nx64 kbps) and unstructured T1 or E1circuits
VBR, UBR, and CBR service classes
AAL1 and AAL5
