Cisco 6732 — Multiservice Access Platform

• Facilitates the transmission of voice and data simultaneously from a single platform (circuit-switched and packet-based)

• High-density, scalable platform:

  • A single Cisco 6732 can support up to 496 POTS circuits, 124 DS1s or 62 T1s.

  • Four Cisco 6732s in a 7 in. (17.8 cm) rack can support up to 1984 POTS circuits, 496 DS1s or 248 T1s.

• ATM transport

• When used with a Cisco 6705, the Cisco 6732 delivers a seamless end-to-end (CO, RT, MDU, CPE) integrated access solution

• Narrowband line interface module options — RPOTS/16, FXS/16, RUVG/8, ISDN-BRI/8

• Wideband line interface module options — DS1, T1

• Broadband line interface module options — DS3, STS1, OC3c

• xDSL line interface module — MSDSL-2W (multi-rate symmetric digital subscriber line, 2 wire) and plan to offer a variety of additional xDSL options

Cisco 6705 — Integrated Access Device

• Facilitates the transmission of voice and data simultaneously from a single platform (circuit-switched and packet-based)

• High-density, scalable platform:

  A single Cisco 6705 can support up to 56 POTS circuits, 16 DS1s or 8 T1s.

• TDM and ATM services

• Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) — DS-0s carried in a T1 signal can be used to flexibly transport either voice or data traffic. Typically, this T1 will link a Cisco 6732 (CO) with a Cisco 6705 (CPE).

• When used with a Cisco 6732, the Cisco 6705 delivers a seamless end-to-end (CO, RT, MDU, CPE) integrated access solution
