The Cisco ONS 15454, an Internet scale, carrier class optical transport platform, brings all the functionality of multiple SONET multiplexers, optical networking, and switching network elements together in one easy-to-use platform. The beginning of the Cisco ONS 15454 broad portfolio is its ability to support flexible topologies: Point to Point, Linear Add/Drop, Rings, and Mesh. This evolutionary platform supports a broad variety of service interfaces, including TDM (DS1, DS3, DS3 Transmux, EC1/ STS1), data (10/100 Mbps Ethernet), and optical (OC3/3c, OC12/ 12c, OC48/48c.)
