Bandwidth-intensive applications, more powerful PCs and servers, and large file downloads all contribute to increased LAN traffic and congestion. These factors can have a negative impact on employee productivity. The diagram below demonstrates how Cisco 1528 Micro Hub 10/100 can be used to connect desktops in a workgroup to servers or other devices in a small business or small branch office. For example, desktops can be connected to the 1528 Micro Hub 10/100 at Ethernet speeds, and the attached workgroup server can be connected at Fast Ethernet speeds to provide quick access to connected users. The 1528 Micro Hub 10/100 automatically senses the communication speed of connected devices and configures itself automatically. You can use the table below to enter product names and order numbers. Please do not forget to include any cables, power supplies, and other peripherals that are necessary for proper connection and installation.
